Bousquet Node

Overview

The Bousquet node is the south-central hub of the Berkshire Mesh. Located at the Osceda Mountain summit, it provides broad coverage across the central Berkshires, including Pittsfield, Lenox, and surrounding towns.

This node serves as the main relay point for traffic between northern and southern parts of the county.

The data connection node doesn't intend to extend connection. It does however, serve to improve the information accessible from the connected nodes.

This node manages local repeaters, tracks battery usage and charging, and provides logging to administrators.

Jiminy Peak Node

ACTIVE

Overview

The Jiminy Peak node serves as the northern hub and the primary interconnect to the Upst8me.sh network. Perched near the summit of Jiminy Peak, it offers excellent line-of-sight coverage into the northern and central Berkshires and beyond.

This node bridges Berkshire Mesh with neighboring mesh networks in upstate New York, enabling cross-region communication.

Installed by W1TTT, the Peru Mountain node is currently the Easternmost repeater in the Berkshires, and gives coverage to more land in Hinsdale and Dalton than the Jiminy and Bousquet nodes are capable of.

Ideally, this will help connect more repeaters to the East, and eventually give us a consistent connection to Hampden County.
