The MeshCore Network of Berkshire County
Berkshire Mesh is a community-driven initiative to build a resilient, decentralized communication network across Berkshire County. We believe in the power of communication via local infrastructure that doesn't rely on centralized ISPs or cellular towers.
Whether you're a hiking enthusiast tracking trails, an amateur radio technician experimenting with LoRa, part of search and rescue efforts, or a local preparing for emergencies, the Berkshire Mesh can keep you connected - even when cell towers fail.
No subscriptions, no ISPs, just neighbors talking to neighbors.
The network, much like a co-op or union, is maintained by residents and members. Nodes are owned by people, not corporations, meaning there is no one trying to exploit you for your data.
